ELSM Announces New “Brand Essentials Series” for Fall 2012

In the sport industry, branding has become a term that is synonymous with success when it comes to marketing a sport organization or program effectively. The trouble is that very few professionals have a strong grasp on the concept and its practical application in industry environments.  In response to this challenge, Elite Level Sport Marketing (ELSM) has announced the creation of a new “Brand Essentials Series” that will be unveiled this upcoming fall in September.  The series will feature signature branding articles that will be released the first Monday of each month at 8:00pm EST on the ELSM site.  In addition, these articles will also be featured on the ELSM Facebook and Twitter pages.  While the core portion of the series will be focused on these monthly releases, there will be other supplementary branding materials released via the site and social media throughout the year.  More details on these supplementary materials will be released as they become available.

Details on Brand Essentials Series

With a unique focus on branding, the series will focus on a wide range of topics relevant to achieving success in marketing in the sport industry.  As a result, the series will be designed to provide valuable insights and resources to a wide range of segments interesting in brand building concepts.  “The purpose of the new series is pretty straightforward,” explained ELSM CEO Coyte Cooper. “It is to take a somewhat confusing topic and break it down in to a simple, innovative format that industry professionals [administrators, coaches, marketers] can easily apply to enhance their marketing efforts immediately.”  To achieve this objective, ELSM hopes to present a wide range of highly successful branding examples to readers in the articles presented throughout the year.  Some topic examples of scheduled feature articles are provided below.

  1. Breaking down the “Basics of Brand”
  2. The innovative use of social media to build brand
  3. Developing a “differentiated” athlete brand
  4. Building a “promotable” program vision
  5. Creating specific, intentional messages to realize your brand of choice
