At ELSM, we are passionate about rewarding programs that invest in marketing to grow the sport of wrestling. Because of this, we have created a variety of awards to encourage coaches and athletes to innovate from a branding standpoint. We are currently in the process of expanding these programs so be on the lookout for new innovative strategies to identify our 2013-14 award winners.
Current Awards Programs:
1. Social Media of the Year (SMOY) Awards: As an extension of the Best of Brand awards, ELSM has partnered with the NWCA to create a new “Social Media of the Year” award for college coaches (head and assistant) and wrestlers. In addition to a panel review process, the awards program features an online voting component to help determine the winners. 2. Best of Brand Awards: This awards program is a collaborative initiative with the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) to honor wrestling programs for their investment in marketing. Through the creation of a well-rounded awards program, ELSM and the NWCA have been able to inspire coaches to engage in branding initiatives that strengthen the support surrounding their program.
